Hello dear. The title says it all. YES you do need to read them. I realise it is a boring business, but it’s for the best honest xP Make sure to understand everything and NOT break any rules or the admins will be forced to take action.

REPORTING FOR DUTY

• Proboards are strictly 13+, therefore, we will not accept anyone below that age.
  
  
• If you create an account, you are committing yourself to fill in a profile. Lurkers are not permitted.
  
  
• A character application must be posted within 2 weeks of joining the board, otherwise the account will be deleted. If you require an exception to this rule, please speak to an admin.
  
  
• Once a profile has been submitted and approved activity is very important. Please try to post at least once a week, unless under special circumstances. Life can get hectic.
  
  
• If you need to leave for a period of time, post in the appropriate category or inform a staff member.

Applying

• The application needs to be filled out with care. Refrain from using abbreviations or text-talk.
  
  
• If you do not use the provided code the application will not be reviewed. However, you will be reminded to go over it and fix as necessary
  
  
• Once the application has been submitted, please don't send messages to the admins about acceptance. Like you, we have real life to attend to so be patient and wait at least 48 hrs before catching an admin’s attention. PLEASE be polite in doing so. PMs, as opposed to personal Emails, are preferred.
  
  
• You have a limit of 10 days to modify your application to meet the character requirements of the admins. If you do not meet the requirements your application will be denied. Feel free to reapply.

Character

• Gary Stus and Mary Sues. No one likes them and if you don't know what they are Google them.
  
  
• No one is perfect, therefore perfect characters are not allowed. Your character may have good qualities, but that doesn't mean they never make mistakes. Make sure there's that something that sets your character apart from the rest.
  
  
• Face Claims... are not required, but recommended.

Roleplaying

• After being accepted change your display name to your character's name, first, middle initial, and last.
  
  
• All levels of experience are accepted, as long as the person in question can post at least one decent paragraph. Try to match your RP's length, please.
  
  
• One line posters are NOT tolerated. We have a word-count of 150 words. I know for just starting RPers it seems like a lot, I know, I was there at one point, but it's really not that bad and the length with improve your writing significantly.
  
  
• Always reply in third person, keep in mind you're not writing your own diary (unless you're writing the diary section of the site). And NO slang language such as IM chat words or acronyms.
  
  
• When you're character is speaking use quotation marks (" "), and for thoughts use Italic.
  
  
• Godmodding and powerplaying is FORBIDDEN.
  
  
• Creativity and originality are encouraged, especially when it comes to coding which makes posts look more attractive.

Rating

• This board is strictly rated PG 13, for the benefit of our younger members
  
  
• Mature content is FORBIDDEN. Violence, drug-use and cursing is probably going to happen, but try to avoid gore and such being too graphic. If your character and another decide they want to, uh, play some scrabble, do please fade to black. Please.

Anything else

• You are allowed to have as many characters as you like, as long as you keep the whole lot active.
  
  
• Before creating another character, your first character must have 60 IC posts.
  
  
• Always respect the staff and other members.
  
  
• If you're having a bad day, my advice is to keep clear off the board. We don't want or need unnecessary fights. This is a place to have fun.
  
  
• Please refrain from discussing Religion, Politics and Sexual Orientation on the board. We understand and acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, sometimes silence is golden.
  
  
• We would also appreciate if you don't spend your whole time on the c-box, keep in mind that you are here to roleplay and it's not nice to keep others waiting for a long time 'want not waste not'.

We will be watching you, so do not break any of the above rules. Too many offenses will result in a temporary ban, and offenses after that will result in a permanent one to all accounts of yours. Just follow these rules and we'll be golden, okay?
